Need to install uPVC windows in a house which is completely made of wood frame ?
Does anybody know where/who/how i can find out how to replace upvc windows in a wood frame house. There are NO BRICKS. It is completely wood frame. I want to add french windows which means cutting out some of the wood frame but i cannot find anywhere on the web that can help me. Can anyone help!!!
I have a UPVC front door with the handle you push up then turn the key. Is there a separate lock I can add to the inside of the door so I don’t have to lock it with the key as this is a hassle as I live in an upstairs flat and I don’t like the idea of leaving my keys in the lock. I thought about adding a snib but would that invalidate my warranty on the door as its only two years old

we put duck tape around our UPVC windows to keep out the draft, now ive taken it off and a lot is still suck solid, how can i remove it or that should i use, to clean it off as thay look grubby ?? thanks paula .
Someone has broken my kitchen window and got into my house b4. I had the window replaced with a uPVC frame. Someone has now tried to drill out the locks in the frame. I have a house alarm but the garden backs onto a big field and it’s really quiet. What else can I do?
It is a nice area, I just think that they probably prey on the fact that it is quiet and we probably have things worth taking – that sounds snobby, but I don’t mean it that way!
How can i put a bar across a UPVC door so when I am indoors I dont have to keep locking it with the key. It was so simple when I had a wooden door just to put the bar on then if there was an emergency where I needed to dash out to car I didnt have to spend half an hour looking for the front door key before I could get outside. With the UPVC doors everybody I have spoke to says you cant fit a bar across like the wooden doors. Surely there must be something you could just put across the door so people cant just walk in without you locking it with the key
